Alexandre Escudier

Alexandre Escudier is a Researcher at the Centre for Political Research at Sciences Po (CEVIPOF) where he is currently working on: 1) the history of the epistemological and practical implications of relations between the philosophy of history and political ideologies in France and Germany since the 18th century, and 2) historical semantic and European comparative history of political discourse.

After studying political science at Sciences Po in Paris, Dr Escudier received his PhD in history on the writing of history in France and Germany in the 19th century from the (EHESS) Ecole des hautes études en sciences sociales. He spent a number of years in Germany at the Max Planck Institute of History at Göttingen and was at the Franco-German Institute of Genshagen / Berlin from 1994 to 2002.
